Library and Art Museum

About the Library:
The Sahara West Library features a computer center with 12 public computer workstations, a 150-seat multipurpose room, a 45 seat board room, a 35 seat meeting room, a Friends of Southern Nevada Libraries Bookstore, and a fine arts museum operated by the Las Vegas Arts Museum. The library houses the International Language Collection, a collection of books, magazines, newspapers and videos in 37 different languages. It also offers free wireless Internet access (Wi-Fi).

Vision - To be an internationally recognized museum whose emphasis is on contemporary art that provides outstanding educational programs to the community-at-large.

Mission - The Las Vegas Art Museum is dedicated to engaging visitors in the international culture of contemporary art. The museum will achieve this goal by organizing and presenting exhibitions that meet international standards of interest and excellence; providing publications, lectures, educational and outreach programs; and developing a significant permanent collection of contemporary art.
